Wolf Lake Wilderness Outpost at Big Sand Lake Lodge

You have the lake, and the great fishing, all to yourself.

Wolf Lake Outpost

Our wilderness outposts offer you the same great fishing, but are not staffed. You have the lake to yourself, and you do your own cooking. A food package is pre-purchased and waiting for you at the camp when you arrive.

Wolf Lake Manitoba

Wolf Lake is located at the north end of Big Sand Lake, where the South Seal River picks up its name. Many creeks and rivers flow into this system as it gains momentum for its eventual destination of Hudson’s Bay. Wolf Lake has many shallow bays and weed beds close to the camp and is also accessible to the north basin of Big Sand Lake, where the Mistay River leads into the river system from the north west.

Wolf Lake Lodge Manitoba

Wolf Lake is renowned for trophy Northern Pike and has a constant flow. In some areas, it never freezes, even in the coldest of cold. Five boats are kept here all summer. Wolf Lake has one guest cabin for 6 to 8 people as well as a shower building and a separate kitchen building where all meals are prepared.
