Tansi is a Cree greeting word for "Welcome" or "Hello". Every morning our guests wake up to a knock on the door and a tray of hot coffee or tea delivered to your cabin. This small gesture of our appreciation for your patronage resounds throughout your stay. The dream called Big Sand has become a reality through team effort, an effort that is renewed each day among our friendly and attentive staff. With a staff-to-guest ratio of 1:1, no where will you find a Canadian Fishing Lodge with a higher standard of service and devotion to its guests. In short, our staff love the land, the lake and the lodge. Their pride is evident from the moment your plane touches down and it won't take long to understand why the people of the north refer to Big Sand Lake Lodge as something to be really proud of.

Wake up call with a knock on the door and a tray of hot coffee or tea delivered to your cabin.

7:00 am

Breakfast is served in the Main Lodge, pancakes, fresh eggs, french toast, sausages, Canadian bacon, hash browns, hot cereal(Red River-as requested by popular demand), and fresh homemade breads.

8:00 am

At the dock, directly below the Main Lodge your guide will be equipped and ready to take you for a full day of fishing on Canada's Best catch and release lake.

12:00 pm

Shore Lunch like you've never had it before. Fresh walleye is the preferred choice however you can certainly request lake trout or northern pike.

5:00 pm

Heading back to the Main Lodge where hors douerves and a complimentary cocktail awaits you.

7:00 pm

A setting like none other with a well proportioned home cooked meal served in our spectacular dining room overlooking Big Sand Lake and all it's majesty.

8:00 pm

After the last bite of dessert and cup of coffee, you have the option of evening fishing as your guide makes him self available every evening, why not after all that's why your here!
